Holly Henry is a bespoke bootmaker living and working in Boulder, CO. She has been an artist and maker her whole life, selling her photography internationally by age 14 and studying photography, film, and fashion while at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Originally from the outskirts of Houston, she has traveled the globe to learn the craft from boot and shoe makers in Chicago, New York, England, Texas, and Colorado, giving her a well rounded skillset and years of experience building boots, repairing saddles, tack, and footwear, and sewing high end, tailored clothing. After 8 years of apprenticing, Holly moved to Boulder and set up her own workshop to build boots full time. When she is not hunched behind a sewing machine, you may find her riding down a trail atop her trusty paint, Kickapoo, or perhaps summiting a peak in the Rockies with her loyal red heeler Margo at her side.
All boots begin with a custom last (the mold) that is built to the measurements of each foot. Once your personal last is built, it can be used again and again in the future to ensure the fit is perfect each time. Each boot is thoughtfully designed by Holly & yourself to reflect your unique style and personality. All parts of the boot building process are done by Holly; on average 60+ hours of skilled labor go into crafting a pair. Each pair is constructed using the finest quality leathers, sustainably sourced and cut by hand. The welted construction allow your boots to be repaired and resoled for decades to come. Additionally, heirloom boots can be resized and resoled to fit a new wearer.
